At Waterman surf school Lanzarote we feel that it is important that our clients learn to surf in a safe, friendly and fun environment, so we provide individual or small group courses.

Waterman surf school Lanzarote is based in Famara, which has always perfect surf conditions appropriate for beginners and advanced surfers. Famara has a long (6km) sandy beach without rocks and dangers outside and inside the water. The timing of lessons varies according to the condition of the sea (tides) and weather but usually we starts at 10.00. You can choose how many days would you like to surf with us.

Group lessons

Group lessons by Waterman surf school Lanzarote are perfect for… Everybody! Whether you’ve been surfing for some time or it is your first time, we manage to prepare different surf groups according to each surfer’ s level. 

We cover 2 different surf levels, Beginners and Intermediates. According to this we offer different types of boards with different sizes and materials, soft and EpoxyFiber boards starting in 5’10 up to 9’0.
For an ultimate learning and personal attention our lessons have a maximum of 8 students per instructor.
What is included in all types of surfing lessons:

Classes and prices

1 day Surf lesson

Your first surf class with a basic introduction to surfing whether to see if you like it or not. You will be taught the basic skills of surfing and most importantly safety.
Duration: 2 hours
Price: 50€
If only 3 or 4 students are in the group it is 60€/person

3 day Surf Lesson

This course will build up your confidence in the water and strengthen your ability. The more lessons you have the more your surfing skills will increase.You will learn elementary skills such as paddling, standing up on the surf board, important safety techniques and being comfortable in the water. We will improve you paddle technique and your stance on the surf board and focus more on wave selection.
Price: 150€
If only 3 or 4 students are in the group it is 180€/person

5 day Surf Lesson

This is to concentrate even more on wave selection and try to make you more independent and surf without the instructor helping you so much. We can focus more on your mistakes and we often use video analize to show you how to surf even better. You will develop intermediate ocean skills. You will learn proper etiquette, how to ride glassy waves and turning techniques. You will learn to read surf conditions, winds & weather patterns.
Price: 250€
If only 3 or 4 students are in the group it is 300€/person

Private Surf lesson

The ultimate introduction to surfing – The surf instructor can run the surf lesson to suit your own individual ability. You get the complete safety, advice and encouragement of surf instructor who is with you all the time. We can specifically target areas to help improve your own individual technique. Private lessons are also recommended for those who are focusing on catching unbroken waves or just improving their techniques. Really great for children and youngsters.
